About the "I" in "I Buy Houses"
Since 1978, Donn has been involved with the purchase and sale of real estate. He began his real estate career as a Realtor® during the portion of our nation’s history when conventional financing interest rates were at 18%. The only way to sell or buy was to think creatively. This was the genesis of Donn’s ability to be a forward thinker and create solutions for all involved parties of each transaction.
When he became his own full-time business owner, he moved on to the next phase of his investing career. He is now working as a full-time investor and no longer as a Realtor® for other buyers and sellers. Donn looks for “Win – Win” situations where the seller, the seller's bank, and the eventual homeowner can all “Win”.
Donn has served as President of the Illinois Rental Property Owner’s Association (IRPOA) as well as Regional vice president of that group. He was instrumental in meeting with the Illinois Attorney General’s office in developing clarity to a significant foreclosure issue in the 2006 General Assembly. He is now President Emeritus of the Metro-East Landlords Association after serving for 15 years as president.
